SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Islington – Immediate Start

Join a welcoming primary school in Islington as a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant, where you will provide dedicated support to a student, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing and inclusive environment. 

Role Overview:

• Position: SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
• Location: Islington
• Interview Date: Immediate
• Contract: Temporary, Part Time or Full Time
• Salary: £103 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

About You:
We are looking for a proactive and caring SEN Learning Support Assistant who:

• Has experience working 1:1 with children with SEN, ideally in a school setting.
• Can provide personalised support, helping the student engage with learning and develop key skills.
• Is patient, empathetic, and confident in using behaviour management strategies when needed.
• Works well as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
• Is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a student, helping them with academic tasks, emotional regulation, and social development.
• Implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and adapt activities to meet the student's needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive interactions in the classroom.
• Work closely with teachers and external professionals to track progress and refine support strategies.
• Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where the student can thrive.
