Role Overview:- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Behaviour Support)
- Location: Islington
- Interview Date: Immediate
- Contract: Full-Time / Permanent
- Salary: £102 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)
About You:We are looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant who:
- Has experience working with children with behavioural difficulties, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, or challenging behaviour.
- Can implement de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies effectively.
- Is confident in building strong, positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and emotional regulation.
- Works well within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
- Is adaptable, patient, and committed to creating a safe and structured learning environment.
Your Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
- Implement behaviour support plans, helping students develop self-regulation and coping strategies.
- Assist in creating a calm and structured classroom environment where students feel safe and supported.
- Work closely with teachers and external professionals to tailor interventions and monitor progress.
- Use positive reinforcement and restorative approaches to encourage engagement and personal development.
