Pertemps Social Care are supporting London Borough of Harrow Council by recruiting Adult Social Workers to work within adults community social work. Working in a fast paced team environment you will be committed to improving the care of vulnerable adults.  You will need to be able to work well in a team setting and have excellent interpersonal and written skills.Do you have at least 2 years work experience as a Qualified Social Worker? Are you registered with SWE?

Adult Social Worker Role Purpose

• To provide a high quality and effective social work service, which responds to the needs of people with lived experiences with care and support needs
• Completion of assessments and support plans in accordance with the wellbeing principles of the Care Act 2014 and reflects a strengths-based approach

Adult Social Worker Role Summary

• Demonstrable ability work with people with lived experiences, recognising the council’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policy.
• Completion of strengths-based Care Act and Mental Capacity assessments in a timely manner.
• Ability to prioritise work under pressure, adapt their priorities to changes in demand and deliver to agreed deadlines.
• Completion of person-centred support plans that reflect the expressed wishes of people with lived experiences, and/or their advocates.
• Contribute to the prevention of risk of harm to maximise the safety and wellbeing of people with lived experiences.

Adult Social Worker Knowledge requirements

• Must hold a qualification in social work 
• Good demonstrable understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 Mental Health Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
• Current Social Work England registration
• Have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
• Knowledge of social work models and interventions including strengths based practice models 
• Knowledge and understanding of discriminated groups and the ability to ensure that services are appropriately delivered to meet their need
