Role: Social Worker Children's (Duty Team and Permanence Team)
Location: Merseyside: 
Rate: £40 per hour
Hours: 36 hours per week
Type: Contract/Hybrid

Social Worker Children's Responsibilties: 

• Undertake statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989 and related legislation.
• Respond to duty referrals, assess risk, and determine appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement care plans that promote stability and permanence for children.
• Prepare reports for court proceedings and attend hearings as required.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and use electronic case management systems.

Social Worker Children's Essential Criteria:

• Degree in Social Work BSc/BA/MA/DipSW.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Experience in child protection, safeguarding, and permanence planning.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
