KS2 Teaching Assistant
 
Do you want to gain experience working with upper primary pupils while preparing for a future in teaching?

*** KS2 Teaching Assistant
*** Immediate start until July 2026
*** £82 - £101 per day
*** School location: Ward of Northfield
*** Provide 1:1 and small group support in preparation for SATs exams
 
The Role:
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to help pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 reach their full potential. You will deliver one-to-one and small group sessions, focusing on areas where pupils need extra support, particularly in preparation for their SATs exams. You’ll also assist with lesson activities, track pupil progress, and encourage a positive approach to learning.
 
The Candidate:
You should hold a degree in any subject and be confident working with children aged 7–11. Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students are essential. Any experience working with young people, especially in an educational setting, will be beneficial.
 
Requirements
  • Degree – A 2:2 or higher in any subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – A genuine interest in supporting young learners and pursuing a career in education.
  • Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering with young people.
