Job Title: General Foreman

Salary: £37 per hour Negotiable

About the Role:We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced General Foreman to take responsibility for daily site activities and support the Site Supervisor in delivering a safe, compliant, and efficient worksite. You will play a key role in ensuring all operations meet health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, while maintaining programme schedules and site documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Site Supervisor in the management and oversight of site operations.
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
- Coordinate daily work activities, plant, and labour in line with project requirements.
- Monitor works to ensure adherence to programme timelines and quality expectations.
- Manage and document material deliveries and usage in line with our client and National Grid policies.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Lead by example and promote a strong health and safety culture across the site.
- Liaise effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider site team.
Required Qualifications & Experience:- SSSTS Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (minimum requirement).
- Authorised as a National Grid Competent Person (CP).
- Valid CSCS or CPCS card.
- Completion of 2-day HSG47 (Avoiding Danger from Underground Services) training.
- Valid 3-day First Aid qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar General Foreman/Site Foreman role.
- Experience on National Grid or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
