Job Description
Are you looking for a new position as a Primary Teacher in Barking & Dagenham. If so, this may be the perfect position for you. Pertemps Education is working alongside a 5-form entry primary school who are seeking to appoint an experienced Primary Teacher to lead a class in KS2.
This will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. There will be an opportunity to go permanent upon review. The position will be paid to scale ranging from M1 to M6, the school may consider UPS candidates.

- Large community primary school based in Barking
- 5-form entry school accommodating to a high number of students per year group
- Caters for children aged 4 to 11
- Rated Good by Ofsted across all key areas
- Hosts an Additional Resource Provision for students with cognition and learning difficulties
- Strong emphasis on inclusion and nurture across the school
Key responsibilities:
- Lead a Year 4 class in KS2
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
- Assess, record and report on student progress and attainment
- Assisting students with a range of SEND specific to your class
- Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
- Providing feedback to senior leaders and parents
The ideal candidate:
- Will be QTS qualified
- Can work full-time, 5 days a week during term time
- Can work from 08:30 AM to 03:30 PM
- Have experience working with students with a range of SEND
- Be enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential
- Comfortable working as part of a team and can form relationships
