SEND Teaching Assistant – Newham Are you looking for a new position as a SEND Teaching Assistant in Newham. If so, this may be the perfect position for you. Pertemps Education is working alongside a 2-form entry primary school who are seeking to appoint an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support students of primary age.  
This will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. There will be an opportunity to go permanent upon review. The daily rate will be between £100 to £110 depending on your experience.  
About the school: - A welcoming primary academy based in Newham as part of a multi-academy trust
 - Caters for children aged 3 to 11, from Nursery to Year 6, with a 2-form entry structure
 - Has space for around 630 pupils, with a current roll of approximately 420 to 450
 - Includes a specialist provision for up to 14 pupils with PMLD
 - Focused on inclusion, wellbeing, and personalised support for every child
 - The most recent Ofsted inspection rated it Good overall, with Outstanding Early Years provision
 - Committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and ambitious learning environment for all pupils
 
 Key responsibilities:- Able to work across KS1 in both Year 1 and Year 2
 - Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
 - Assisting students with Autism and/or PMLD
 - Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
 - Providing feedback to teachers and parents
 
 The ideal candidate:- Can work full-time, 5 days a week during term time
 - Can work from 08:30 AM to 03:30 PM
 - Have experience working with students with a range of SEND
 - Be enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential
 - Comfortable working as part of a team and can form relationships
