Team Manager & Children's Safeguarding Practice Lead, Manchester

We're looking for an experienced Team Manager to take on the pivotal role of Safeguarding Practice Lead at Manchester City Council Children’s Services.

This is a great opportunity to lead and inspire in a vibrant city while earning a competitive hourly rate of £40 per hour.

What’s involved:

• Provide expert leadership to social work teams, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding practice.
• Oversee and manage complex safeguarding cases, offering guidance and support to frontline staff.
• Act as a key point of contact for multi-agency partners, fostering collaboration to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
• Drive continuous improvement in safeguarding practices, embedding a culture of learning and development.
• Support the implementation of effective policies and procedures to meet statutory and council requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Extensive experience in children’s safeguarding and team management.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, processes, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage priorities effectively.
