The Role
This Science ECT position offers the opportunity to take responsibility for your own class from day one while benefiting from a well-established induction programme. As a Physics or Chemistry specialist, you will plan and deliver lessons that ignite students' passion for science, tailor lessons to suit different learning styles, and track student progress. You will also contribute to department activities, engage in collaborative curriculum development, and participate in wider school life.
 
The Candidate
The school is looking for a passionate Science ECT with a strong background in Physics or Chemistry. You should have:
  • A degree in Physics, Chemistry, or a related subject
  • QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2025)
  • Expertise in either Physics or Chemistry, with the ability to teach across all key stages
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching Science
  • A commitment to your own professional development and the wider school community

  • Regular reflection and self-assessment: Opportunities to review and refine your teaching practice through self-evaluation and mentor discussions.
