The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ECT to take charge of your own German classes in a ‘Good’ inner-city secondary school. You will teach German at Key Stage 3 and 4, engaging students in language learning and helping them develop a strong understanding of German culture. The role involves planning lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and assessing student progress. You will also receive excellent ECT induction support, ensuring you have the guidance needed to develop your teaching skills.
 
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
  • Hold a degree in German or a related field, and QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2025)
  • Have a solid understanding of the German curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Be passionate about teaching German and inspiring students to achieve their language learning goals
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of different abilities
  • Be willing to collaborate with colleagues in the department and contribute to the school community
