The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join an ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in Ladywood. You will teach Religious Education at Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students to explore faith, philosophy, and ethics. As part of a large Humanities department, you will collaborate with colleagues and benefit from a robust ECT induction programme that provides excellent support and mentoring throughout your early years of teaching.
 
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
  • Hold a degree in Religious Education or a related field, and QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2025)
  • Have a strong understanding of the Religious Education curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Be enthusiastic about teaching Religious Education and committed to fostering a deeper understanding of faith and ethics among students
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
  • Be a team player, ready to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community

  • Workload management strategies: Guidance on managing lesson planning, marking, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance
