Pertemps have a brand new & exciting opportunity for you!Our well established client, which is recognised around the globe, is looking for a Quality Analyst to join their team. The role itself: 
  • Reporting into the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for chemical, microbiological and flavour analyses.
  • With your analytical experience in a laboratory environment, your understanding of quality assurance and quality systems will be critical for carrying out analyses of raw materials, beers in process and final pack in accordance with our agreed operating standards and methods.
  • You’ll be able to maintain and calibrate the equipment in our site laboratories and make sure that these are up to UKAS or GxP standards. 
  • Being fully conversant with LIMS systems is really a must for this role as you’ll need to use it for data handling and information processing. 
  • An eye for detail is really a must as you’ll be dispatching samples to other client sites and to outside agencies, these will need to be sent to meet sample schedules and as required on an ad hoc basis.
What are we looking for?
  • A relevant science degree
  • Current Laboratory experience (Brewing and/or Food and Beverage Industry preferred but not essential)
  • Experience with problem-solving techniques would be an added bonus.
Hours of work & pay:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 35 hours per week
  • 09.00am to 17.00pm hours (with 1 hour unpaid lunchbreak)
  • £15.75 per hour 
This role may require you to work some shifts as Tadcaster Brewery operates 24/7, and you may be required to provide cover for the microbiology team.
