Families First Advice Line Advisor
Location: Vale of Glamorgan (Hybrid: Primarily Remote with Occasional Office-Based Work)
Employment Type: Temporary (14 July 2025 – 17 October 2025)
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00)
Pay: PAYE £13.17/hour | Umbrella £17.03/hour
Closing Date: 20 June 2025, 17:00
Are you a compassionate and organised professional with a passion for supporting families and communities? Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a dedicated Families First Advice Line Advisor to join the Families First team in the Vale of Glamorgan for a temporary 14-week assignment from 14 July to 17 October 2025.
What You’ll Do:
  • Provide advice and guidance to parents, carers, and professionals via telephone, in line with Families First guidance, national standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Signpost families and professionals to appropriate local services to meet identified needs.
  • Conduct wellbeing assessments, including needs and risk assessments, to inform casework planning.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic case records for children, young people, and families.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and multi-disciplinary agencies to deliver high-quality support.
  • Attend meetings, produce reports, and contribute to team plans to enhance service delivery.
  • Promote awareness of community services and ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and council policies.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in providing advice or administrative support in a busy environment (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong IT literacy and excellent communication skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act and All Wales Child Protection Procedures (or willingness to learn).
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and active participation in supervision and team meetings.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently in a hybrid setting (primarily remote with occasional office-based work).
