Hours: 37 hours per week (Rota across 7 days)
Contract: 3-6 months, starting ASAP
About the Role
We’re seeking a compassionate and driven individual to provide solution-focused support for customers with moderate to high support needs. You’ll manage a small caseload (5-8 clients) to ensure you have the time and capacity to deliver quality, tailored assistance.
You’ll collaborate with a larger team in Torquay to:
- Support individuals with complex needs.
- Work with external agencies on mental health, substance misuse, benefits, housing, and employment opportunities.
- Develop and maintain support plans and risk assessments.
- Empower clients to achieve their goals and build skills for independent living.
This role requires resilience and problem-solving, as you’ll be working with clients facing challenging situations. Your efforts will help them overcome barriers and thrive.
About You
We’re looking for individuals who are:
- Motivated to create positive change.
- Flexible and willing to work varied hours, including weekends.
- Skilled at building relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Experienced (or enthusiastic to learn) in supporting people from diverse backgrounds with a range of needs.
Essential Skills & Experience:- Ability to lone work safely and collaborate effectively in a team.
- Competence in maintaining records, creating action plans, and managing risks.
- Clear understanding of diversity and safeguarding in vulnerable populations.
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
Desirable (but not essential):- Knowledge of housing-related support, training, employment, or social activities.
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field.
