Job Description
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading name in the fuel distribution industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join their regional transport team and play a key role in driver development, compliance, and safety.
About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you’ll be responsible for on boarding and training new drivers, ensuring health & safety compliance, and enhancing driver performance. This is a hands-on role, working both on the road and at the depot, where you’ll lead training sessions, investigate incidents, and support transport operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver driver training and on boarding programs
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Conduct post-accident investigations and driver performance reviews
- Lead driver briefings, toolbox talks, and training workshops
- Monitor tachograph performance and ensure compliance with working time regulations
- Provide operational support, including traffic office duties and vehicle checks
- Experience as a Driver Trainer within transport or fuel distribution
- C+E Licence (essential)
- Full ADR Licence (required)
- PDP and Driver CPC qualifications (essential)
- Certifications such as SAFED or ROSPA (preferred but not essential)
- Strong knowledge of transport compliance, safety regulations, and driver best practices
- £37,000pa + £250 pcm Monthly Incentive Bonus.
