I am working with an innovative health tech company who bring value-based care to fertility. Role Overview:We’re seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to design and build scalable financial platforms that support innovative insurance and lending solutions for fertility treatments. This role involves leading technical projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality solutions that ease financial stress for users. Ideal candidates will have full-stack experience in TypeScript and Python, alongside a passion for problem-solving, and a proactive approach in a start-up environment.
Tech Stack:- TypeScript, Next.js, React.js, Nest.js, Python, PostgreSQL, SQS
- AWS and Vercel for production services; Pulumi and GitHub Actions for automation.
- Observability tools: Cloudwatch, Grafana, Sentry.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and build scalable software solutions that support complex financial processes like underwriting, insurance, risk scoring, payments, and loan servicing.
- Lead technical projects, balancing user experience, business needs, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, design, ops, and data) to build impactful solutions.
- Improve developer experience by enhancing tooling, infrastructure, code quality, testing, and observability.
- Contribute to the team’s engineering culture, setting standards for quality and speed.
Key Requirements:- 3+ years as a full-stack engineer, preferably in start-ups.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, with a preference for experience in TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
- Adaptability to ambiguity and strong problem-solving skills, particularly in a small, cross-functional team environment.
- Passion for the mission and a holistic approach to problem-solving, beyond just technical solutions.
Highly Desirable:- Comfortable with loosely defined projects in dynamic settings
- Strong communicator, with the potential to mentor
