Children's Home Registered Manager
Location: West Midlands
Salary: up to £51,802 per annum

We have a fabulous opportunity for two child focused, passionate and experienced Registered Managers to join our new children’s residential service in West Midlands. Whether you are currently a Deputy Manager or Team Leader in a Children’s Home, or an experienced Registered Manager looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Working closely with the Residential Operations Manager, in this highly rewarding role you will play an integral part in developing and managing one of our newly refurbished 3 bed children’s homes, to build a service that centres around our children and young people. 

We are looking for a Registered Manager who really listens and cares about what our children have to say. Someone who knows that every child is different and is keen to really understand each and everyone of them. 
Through your strong management, our children will receive the highest quality care. You will lead and inspire a committed staff team, to create a home that is not only safe and comfortable, but one that truly feels like home for our children; a home where staff go above and beyond and our children are made to feel important. 

In return, you will be supported by a leadership team who share these commitments and recognise the importance of continuous professional development. As well as access to high quality training through our social care academy, each of our three bed homes will have a designated clinical support team, so you also will benefit from regular clinical supervision. We will ensure you are given the support, guidance and training you need to bring this vision to life, to enable our children to reach their full potential and succeed in their journey to adulthood, no matter what.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have: 
  • OFSTED Registration as a Residential Care Manager, OR significant experience working in a residential children’s care home to secure OFSTED Registration as a Residential Care Manager within 6 months of appointment
  • Level 5 Diploma Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Young people’s services (or equivalent) OR commitment to successfully complete within 3 years of appointment.
  • Experience of managing/leading a team within a residential Childrens home setting.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015  
  • The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and work collaboratively with a range of agencies 
  • The tenacity and resilience required to drive forward continuous improvement to deliver the exceptional care our children and young people deserve.
