About the role:To co-ordinate and undertake admin support to the Children’s Partnership Boards, crossservice working and the Children’s Development and Partnerships Team. To provide support around key developments in children’s services and any other activities to improve service delivery or partnership working.
Main Responsibilities:- Co-ordinate the agenda, papers, reports, venues, minutes, attendance and follow-up actions for multi-agency and Senior Management Boards and sub groups: to ensure the efficient and timely dispatch of busines
- Manage and organise for the Children’s Partnership Boards, Service and Team; meetings, papers, research, filing and general admin of the organisation, including financial processing tasks, to allow for best use of time and to cope with complex multiple agendas.
- Liaise directly with Partnership Board members and other senior managers of Cheshire East Council and partner agencies
- Organise events for the Service, Team and Children’s Partnership Boards, such as Board Meetings, sub groups, conferences, development days, multi-agency workshops.
- Manage administrative systems within the team and support cross-service work, including dealing with incoming phone calls from a wide range of contacts assessing urgency and importance, e-mail enquiries, correspondence and filing.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of children’s services by supporting service developments and partnership working, and maintaining high standards.
About you:- NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
- Willingness and ability to obtain and/or enhance qualification(s) and training for development in the post
- Administration experience, preferably including minute taking and arranging meetings
- Knowledge of data protectionand confidentiality responsibilities and requirements
- Understanding of administrative processes and procedures
- Awareness and understanding of financial processing procedures
- Good ICT skill – proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good organisational skills
- Able to calmly work to deadlines and under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy
- Good standard of literacy and written skills Friendly, adaptable, helpful and enthusiasticGood attention to detail Ability to work alone using own initiative Proven ability to work as a team member to achieve target Flexible approach to work Willing to share knowledge and best practice to improve service delivery Willingness and ability to travel throughout the borough as required
