Job Description
An experienced Social Worker, you will be acting as the first point of contact for all new safeguarding concerns and referrals relating to children and young people.
Duties will include:
- Efficiently gathering and analysing information from a wide range of sources, including police, health, education, and other agencies, to understand a child's circumstances and potential risks.
- Utilising your professional judgement and analytical skills to assess levels of risk and make timely and appropriate decisions about the next steps required to safeguard a child. This includes determining thresholds for intervention.
- Working closely and effectively with colleagues from partner agencies within the MACH, including police, health professionals, education staff, and others, to share information securely and coordinate responses.
- Offering expert advice and consultation to professionals and members of the public regarding safeguarding concerns and appropriate referral pathways.
- Ensuring all information, decisions, and actions are recorded comprehensively and to a high standard on the relevant case management systems in a timely manner.
