Land Charges Officer East London My client is recruiting for a Land Charger Officer based within the local Authority in East London and the surrounding area.
Responsibilities- To process Local Land Charges (LLC) searches and Commons searches including maintenance of the manual and computerised LLC Register and Commons Register records.
- To work as part of a team and contribute to providing an effective customer focused LLC service.
- To assist in the implementation and development of the new computerised LLC system.
- To be performance managed by the Senior Land Charges Officer and be accountable for achieving personal appraisal targets.
Requirements- Knowledge of Land Charges legislation and practice, including its principles, processes and procedures.
- Good knowledge and experience of using IT systems.
- Ability to organise and prioritise own workload and work with a minimum supervision, making appropriate decisions in order to meet deadlines.Ability to work under pressure delivering a high degree of accuracy.
- Evidence of a minimum of 6 months experience in a Local Land Charges office or related local Government service.
Contract - Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend
- PAYE via Umbrella
- Monday to Friday
- 9am to 5pm
As the role is Local Authority based candidates will be asked to complete an onboarding & compliance checks including DBS & Online training modules prior to starting.
