Role Purpose We require a full time temporary housing/visiting officer within the housing management service to assist in carrying out inspections, coordinating with tenants, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations and standards.
36 hours per week to start asap. Based at the Orchard Housing Office with regular resident and estate visits. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities - Address and resolve any non-access issues relating to all domestic works compliance including damp and mould, EICR, Gas, Fire Doors and HHSRS inspections
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely remediation.
- Provide tenants with advice and support
- Work with tenants to facilitate access for gas safety engineers.
- Resolve access issues for electrical safety inspections.
- Communicate with tenants to arrange access for contractors.
- Coordinate with asset management teams to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct scheduled inspections of all common parts an surrounding areas on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the updating and maintaining customer records
- Assist in the completion of outstanding FRA Actions including clear communal areas, balconies, etc#
- Maintain documentation of completed tasks and follow-ups.
Requirements - The successful candidate will need to be a resilient self-starter who thinks well on their feet in a variety of different, often challenging, situations.
- At least 2 years experience working in a council or housing association
- We are looking for people who relish a challenge and are able to deal with confrontation. An attention to detail is essential. You will also need to be creative and demonstrably able to develop solutions to assist residents on our estates.
- The role may involve some out of hours meetings and will also involve lone working.
- Daily use of a car and a full driving license is essential.
Contract - Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract
- PAYE via Umbrella
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (Hybrid position)
