VOX Consultants are working with a council client who are looking for a Data Protection and Complaints Officer. The Data Protection and Complaints Officer will support the coordination for all matters relating to the Children Act Representation Procedures. You will play a key role supporting the Customer Care & Data Protection Manager on all aspects of customer feedback and transparency requests, including Statutory Complaints. This is an initial 6 month contract, paying around £27ph.
You will need to:
- Support and oversee the completion of Subject Access Requests (SAR), including:
- liaising with service users to clarify and support their request where appropriate
- locate and collate records
- apply exemptions under the Data protection Act as needed, including redaction of information
- drafting responses and organising the sharing of files
- consulting with internal colleagues, especially Children’s Services’ practitioners and information governance staff
- maintaining clear records of SAR activity and contributing to regular reporting
- work to demanding statutory deadlines in the completion of SARs
