Job Title: Building Surveyor
Location: Office-based – West London
Rate: £300 per day (Umbrella CIS - If a UTR number can be provided)
Contract Type: Full Time (3 to 6 month ongoing contract)
Start Date: ASAP
The Role As a Building Surveyor, you'll be a key link between the Council and its school sites, delivering planned maintenance, capital projects, and urgent repair works. Working closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of public buildings.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess building condition and prioritise works
- Manage planned maintenance programmes and urgent repairs
- Draft specifications and assist with procurement
- Oversee contractor performance and site delivery
- Maintain project tracking, budgets and reporting systems
- Support bids for external funding
- Align your work with climate-conscious principles
What We're Looking For Essential:- Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Building Surveying
- Proven experience in surveying and managing building works
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
- Familiarity with MS Office and project management tools
- Sound knowledge of health and safety and compliance standards
