Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (Dependent on Experience)

This is a large, award-winning consultancy in their search for an experienced Civil Engineer to join their esteemed drainage infrastructure civils team. About the Company:


This company is a leading consultancy in the built environment sector, with over 300 employees across 14 offices in the UK. As an employee-owned trust, they empower their staff to shape the company's direction and success.


The London office has 75 people and overall, there are 58 people in the civils and structures team.


The civils team consists of 13 people that comprise of a mix of apprentices, graduates, engineers and technicians.


The project sectors you will be working on vary from residential, commercial to data centres, logistics, life science, schools and hospitals which range in value from 1million – 2billion pounds.


As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:


-        Manage project teams in the delivery of the civils elements of the scheme. Undertake and oversea complex designs. Manage financial elements of projects, with supervision. Feed into civils team leaders meeting on resourcing and project performance where applicable.


-        Producing schematic/concept designs and detailed designs of drainage and highways using Civils 3D.


-        Undertaking drainage and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) designs using Causeway Flow.


-        Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports for planning


-        Collaborating with other construction professionals in design development and project management as necessary





Main requirements:


-        Someone with good Civils 3D or equivalent with drainage networks experience


-        Experience of sustainable drainage systems concept and detailed design - essential


-        Highways design -S278/S38 agreements – desirable


-        Experience of mentoring and resourcing junior team members with a proactive approach


-        Line management experience to support team members in their career development


-        Professionally qualified or demonstrably working towards professional qualification


-        Interest in working in a variety of sectors supporting NHS, Department for Education and private sector


-        Experience of liaising with authorities and design team members with problem solving approach
