Role Responsibilities:- Flood Risk Assessments: Serve as the author of FRAs for diverse private and public sector projects.
- Drainage Strategies: Develop conceptual surface water drainage solutions incorporating SuDS, supported by hydraulic calculations.
- Client Engagement: Attend meetings with clients, design teams, local authorities, and statutory consultees to provide expert guidance.
- Site Analysis: Identify and communicate flooding and drainage-related constraints and opportunities.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize tools like MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage to produce and review FRAs and drainage strategies.
Role Requirements:- Planning Knowledge: Strong understanding of the planning system, including NPPF policy and SuDS guidance.
- Modeling Skills: Familiarity with hydrological and hydraulic modelling, with experience in Tuflow, Flood Modeller, and FEH preferred.
- Project & Financial Management: Proven ability to manage projects, maintain financial oversight, and deliver excellent client communication.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative learning environment.
- Report Writing: Produce clear and concise technical reports for a range of stakeholders.
