Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Brent, London
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Role Overview:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both students and teachers within the classroom. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for education and a desire to pursue a career in teaching. You will work closely with subject teachers across various departments, providing academic assistance, supporting student learning, and contributing to the overall positive learning environment of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to overcome learning challenges and achieve their full potential.
• Support the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
• Assist in classroom management, including maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with students to help them develop study skills, confidence, and a love for learning.
• Provide feedback on student progress and contribute to student reports.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and support school events as required.

 
Essential Requirements:

• A recent graduate with a strong academic background.
• A genuine passion for education and a desire to become a qualified teacher in the future.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a willingness to take initiative and work as part of a team.
• Experience working with young people, either in a voluntary or paid capacity, is desirable.
