Job Description

Contract Type: Temp to Fixed Term (ASAP until 31st March 2025)
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Support Manager to oversee the delivery of a large-scale grounds maintenance contract across over 600 sites in the West of England, including Bristol, Bath, and Somerset. In addition to grounds maintenance, the role will involve managing contracts related to cleaning, window cleaning, and waste removal services.
You will work as part of a strong Estate Services team, ensuring contractors deliver high-quality services and meet specified standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Arranging and attending review meetings with contractors and stakeholders
  • Regular meetings with contractors' staff
  • Scrutinising and preparing KPI data and other contract performance reports
  • Detailed record-keeping and on-site monitoring of contractor performance
  • Ensuring work is delivered to specification and safety standards
About You:
You will bring a combination of expertise in contract management and strong customer service skills to this role. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Good knowledge of amenity horticulture
  • experience in client-side grounds maintenance contract management
  • Experience managing contracts for cleaning, window cleaning, and waste management services (Desirable)
  • Prior experience in the Housing or Local Authority sector (Desirable)
  • A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and contractor safety compliance
  • High attention to detail, especially in handling data
  • Proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Confidence interpreting maps and specifications, with experience using GIS mapping tools
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service
  • Flexibility in approach and commitment to continuous improvement
