Job Title: Yard Operator (Temp to Perm)
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Hours: 07:30 – 17:30, Monday to Friday
Rate of Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Temporary (6 months) with potential to go permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading gas distribution company based in Bury St Edmunds for a Yard Operator to join their team. This is a temp-to-perm role, offering stability and progression for the right candidate after an initial 6-month period.

The Role:

As a Yard Operator, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the depot, ensuring efficient yard operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading gas cylinders safely
• Organising and maintaining yard stock
• Operating forklift (training provided if required)
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Assisting with general warehouse duties

What We’re Looking For:

• Commitment – You’re looking for a long-term role and are willing to prove yourself.
• Excellent timekeeping – Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Can-do attitude – You’re proactive, willing to learn, and happy to take on varied tasks.
• Physical fitness – The role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weathers.
• Forklift experience (preferred but not essential) – Training can be provided.
