Press Operative (Shifts)

Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a Press Operative to join our established client based in Smethwick.

As a Press Operative, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the press machinery. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining high production standards.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
-Operate press machines in accordance with company standards
-Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment
-Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
-Ensuring quality of products are in line with company standards
-Maintain accurate production records and logs

Ideal Candidate:
-Previous experience as a Press Operative or in a similar role
-FLT Counterbalance licence is preferred
-Knowledge of press machinery is essential
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
-Strong problem-solving skills

Hours are rotating shifts working 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 11pm

The pay rate is £13.27 per hour for morning shift and £14.30 for afternoon shift.

Immediate starts available.
Temporary ongoing position with a view to go permanent after a successful trial period
