Exciting opportunity alert! Join us as Thames Water's integrated management system (IMS) team manager. You will be able to spearhead developing, maintaining, and improving our management systems, ensuring external certification and seamless compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. What you’ll be doing as a Integrated Management System (IMS)  Manager
  • Lead the Integrated Management System (IMS) team.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing Thames Water’s documented management systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring that documented business processes and procedures support compliance with regulations and environmental permit requirements and achieving business plans and regulatory targets.
  • Responsible for delivery of internal audit programme and assurance reporting.
  • Managed the external audit programme and maintained the external certification of the company management systems.
  • Accountable for ensuring that learning from non-conformances is embedded to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Accountable for ensuring that the team provides appropriate specialist advice and training.
  • Responsible for developing a roadmap for increasing the organisation’s maturity in asset management.
Hybrid – Clearwater Court, you will be required on-site as the business requires you to
36 hours a week, Monday – Friday

What you should bring to the role
  • STEM related Degrees / post-graduate level education (or equivalent)
  • Have a background of being a people manager of a small team.
  • Have knowledge in the management of relevant management systems (asset management, quality, environmental)
  • Have a background in external auditing.
  • Be confident in building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be able to support and embed change, influence, and drive the right culture and behaviours regardless of seniority or rank.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Be able to develop or have knowledge of building new management systems and achieving external certification.
  • Previous knowledge gained within the water industry and other utilities.

  • Competitive salary from £52,000 to £70,000 per annum.
  • This role will have a car allowance of £5,800 per annum.
  • 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays)
