Behaviour Mentor – East Birmingham

This progressive and vibrant Alternative Provision is looking to add a Behaviour Mentor to an excellent pastoral team. This Alternative Provision has an outstanding reputation for helping students to reengage with education and reintegration into mainstream schools. As a Behaviour Mentor you will be delivering 1-2-1 and small group support for students, focused on changing attitudes towards education and improving behaviour. You will also be providing classroom support, helping teachers to manage behaviour in the classrooms.

As a Behaviour Mentor you will be joining an excellent team of teaching and support staff who have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to education. This role requires a Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting young people who have faced social or academic barriers.
Job Role:
  • Supporting challenging behaviours on a 1-2-1 basis
  • Working as a Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant
  • Acting as a positive role model for students
  • Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on communication and behaviours
  • Helping students to reengage with education
